{"id":4441,"date":"2023-07-24T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-07-24T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.caseificiolongo.it\/zero-polystyrene-by-2025\/"},"modified":"2026-06-05T11:02:51","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T09:02:51","slug":"zero-polystyrene-by-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.caseificiolongo.it\/en\/zero-polystyrene-by-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Zero polystyrene by 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The present of Caseificio Longo, and consequently its future, is driven by an increasingly concrete <strong>commitment<\/strong> <strong>to the environment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A company born in the green Canavese area and surrounded by the beauty of the Alps, which aims to export Piedmont&#8217;s dairy excellence throughout Italy and abroad, cannot ignore a <strong>short and medium-term eco-sustainability plan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is why Tomini del Boscaiolo have been distributed for a few months now in <strong>new eco-friendly packaging<\/strong>, made of recyclable materials that reduce plastic consumption by 50%.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the <strong>short supply chain<\/strong>, with 100% of the milk coming from Piedmontese farms and local breeders, becomes\u2014in addition to a certification of the highest quality\u2014a <strong>tangible sign of Longo&#8217;s commitment<\/strong> to reducing polluting emissions from transport.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Without forgetting another very <strong>ambitious<\/strong> and important medium-term <strong>goal<\/strong>: <strong>reducing the use of polystyrene to zero by 2025<\/strong>, both for all other packaging and for the elements used in the various stages of the production line.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Polystyrene, in fact, is still widely used in many sectors, including the food industry.
