At our headquarters in Bosconero, in the heart of the Canavese region, we produce the cheeses with which we export Piedmontese dairy excellence throughout Italy and across the globe every day, with the same passion we have dedicated for over seventy years.
We never imagined, however, that it could also be one of the locations where Stessi Battiti was filmed, a movie by director Roberto Gasparro set for release this spring. And yet, it really happened! Stessi Battiti is a youth film that tells the story of Federico, a seventeen-year-old who studies, works, and trains hard to achieve his dream of becoming a professional cyclist. He forms a makeshift team with Rossella, his mechanic, and they are joined by Claudio Chiappucci, the former professional cyclist who helps Federico during his final days of training.
The film’s cast is top-tier: Gianni Parisi, Franco Barbero, Luciana Nigro, Stefania De Francesco, Michele Franco, Simone Moretto, Mauro Tarantini, Riccardo Fiorio, Vittoria Chiolero, and Francesco Isasca. Not to mention the special appearance by former professional cyclist Claudio Chiappucci and the winner of the 1962 and 1963 Giro d’Italia, Franco Balmanion. Directed, as previously mentioned, by Roberto Gasparro, with music by Carmine Padula and Edoardo Caiazza, and produced by 35mm.
A film that tells the story of a young man’s dream that started long ago, fueled by a healthy and genuine passion. Just like our own story which, beginning in 1950, saw Antonio Longo start his business alongside his wife Franca in a small family workshop producing just one product: Tomino del Canavese.
While waiting for the release of Stessi Battiti, we are already very happy: not only for having hosted some of the film’s scenes but also for supporting it as a sponsor.
